Dolores “Dee” Zimmer
February 22, 1940- September 4, 2022.
Predeceased by her parents, Elmer, and Josephine Maas; her brothers, David Maas, Richard Maas, and her granddaughter Sarah Diane Bentivegna.
Survived by her husband, Harold L. Zimmer, Jr. “Buzz”; her daughters, Diane (Thomas) Bentivegna, Lisa (John) Cook, Terry (Dan) Young; Grandchildren, Marie Harris, Jason Malone, Rebecca (Dan) Boone, Kyle Malone, Andrew (Joelle) Culp, Jacqueline Desmore, Elliott Young and Alicia Young; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rose Maas, Mary Ellen Maas; many other dear family & friends, and her beloved dog, Lottie.
Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family tradition was important to her. Some of her favorite times were the Incavo Family Picnics, Christmas Cookie Baking, and Christmas Eve dinners. She took great pleasure in community service, volunteering at Hope House, crocheting hats for servicemen overseas, infants in hospitals, and cancer patients. She enjoyed researching her family ancestry and made an extensive family tree, including past generations up to present. Dolores sewed custom drapes for Sears Robunk Company. She also worked at Rochester General Hospital in the admitting Department for over 40 years.
Calling hours Friday, September 9, 2022, from 4-7 pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. (rte. 250) Webster. Please join the family Saturday, September 10th at 10 am in St. Rita’s Church (1008 Maple Drive, Webster). In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Shepherd Home.
