Predeceased by parents Alexander & Mary and brothers Milo and Ivan Peter Tomanovich. Survived by his children Matthew (Margaret), Christopher (Melissa) Thomas, Mary (Joshua) Hambrick; grandchildren Emory, Alexander, Mary & Catherine; former spouse and friend Kathleen Thomas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Alex will be remembered foremost as a devoted father and grandfather. He served with honor in the U.S. Navy. He found lasting joy in family, gardening, landscaping, and jazz music. Alex had a keen artistic eye and deep appreciation for the natural world. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Alexander Thomas will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 30th 2022, at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rodgers Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14617.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the Seneca Park Zoo Society or Monroe Community Hospital Auxiliary in his memory.
