William Rivas Sr.

Rochester: Passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022. Predeceased by his parents, Jose Dolores and Genara; Son, William Rivas Jr.; 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Survived by the love of his life, that feisty first grader Esther, whom they shared 70 years together; Children, Marlene (Gilberto Jr) Cortés, Steven (Rosa) Rivas, and Evelyn (Alberto) Maceo; Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, Braeden, Carmelo, Dezli, Alexis, Cayden, Jonah, Solee, Malachi, Maddie, Selena, Chance, Natalie, Justin, Maisha, Nicolas, Genesis, Avianna, Alex, Joslyn, and Everly.

Brother William was a man of extraordinary faith, who contributed a lot to his church God’s Work Apostolic Pentacostal Church. He served with joy and happiness and loved his brothers and sisters. He was known by many as the favorite uncle and a father figure to so many. We will miss him dearly, but we know he is in God’s hands.

Calling hours on Monday, July 18, from 4pm – 7pm with a funeral service on Tuesday at 10AM BOTH at Falvo Funeral Home 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, N.Y. 14609. Interment Riverside.
