Obituary of Jorge Rosado
Jorge Rosado passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 6th, 2022.
Beloved son, brother, uncle, and soulmate.Jorge was the life of the party and a friend to all who met him.
Born in Humacao, PR. he was proud of his roots and exuded his culture everywhere he went.
Jorge began a long and illustrious career with the City of Rochester in 1973 and he was very proud of his 36 years of service.
Although he had no children of his own, he was an admired father/grandfather figure to his many nieces and nephews as well as all of his "adopted" family.
He is predeceased by his mother, Marcolina Cruz. He is survived by his siblings; Melinda Calixto (Benny Calixto), Juan DeLeon (Regina Walters), Ana Burgado (Norberto Burgado), Tito Cruz, his soulmate Lydia Calixto, his daughter and granddaughter by love, Lydia Colon and Margily Torres, and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 4-7 pm and Funeral Services Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10 am BOTH at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
