Obituary of Earl Gene House

Earl House

Webster: The world has lost a good man, Earl House, on June 16, 2022, a man who enriched the lives of others. Those who knew him will feel the loss of his sense of responsibility for quality work, his endless energy and his acceptance of all people.
Earl was born in Arlington, Virginia on July 4, 1946, the son of Robert and Ermadean House. He was one of four brothers who shared a special bond.

Earl spent his school years in Modoc, Indiana and graduated from Union High School where he developed lifelong friendships. Earl attended Purdue University earning his associate degree in aviation mechanics and then his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Supervision.

After graduation Earl accepted a supervision job with Xerox. Six months later Earl married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Teal, on June 20, 1970. They built a house in Webster, NY where they started a family, two daughters Kelly Jean (Huttemann)and Jodi Anne (Reynolds). The day after Kelly came home from the hospital, Earl started a new supervision job in quality at Schlegel Corporation, later becoming the Quality Control Manager.  In 1987 Earl and Beverly built their dream house near Penfield, NY.

Earl loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed boating and fishing along with catching the big one.  He had special talents building and repairing most things.

For years he was most likely to be found on a golf course even scoring two holes in one. Earl and Beverly also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. In recent years they made yearly winter trips to Florida.
Unfortunately, Earl suffered from Alzheimer’s. The disease robbed him from being able to do the things he loved. Earl and Beverly were devoted to each other. Beverly became his caregiver as the disease progressed.

Earl is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly of 52 years, beloved daughters Kelly (David) Huttemann,  Jodi (Carl “Chris” Reynolds) and precious grandchildren Hunter and Kendall Huttemann, Carl “Henry” and Kaitlyn Reynolds.  His loving mother, Ermadean House is from New Castle, Indiana.  His cherished brothers Robert (Nancy), Ron (LaDonna), Don (Vickie) House; many nieces and nephews, and a wealth of friends.  He is predeceased by his father, Robert House.

Calling hours will be held Thursday June 23rd from 4pm-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Route 250) Webster, N.Y.  On Friday, please join the family at All Season’s Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park for Earl’s funeral service at 1:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Association or American Red Cross in his memory.
