Obituary of Louie Carini
Louie Carini went to his eternal home on Wednesday, May 25th at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Shirley, his parents John and Concetta, his brothers Patrick and Paul and his sister Josephine Schooping. He is survived by his six children, Patrick, Linda (Robert) VonBuskirk, David (Vicki), James (Kathy), Steven (Beth), Barbara (Jim) LaDine, 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 6 siblings, Rose Miner, Mary Lou Jacobson, Jean Powell, Pauline Governale, John, and Sam Carini, and 2 brothers-in-law, Carlton Milbrandt and Bruce McClarin.
Louie was born December 15, 1927, raised in Fairport and resided the rest of his life in Irondequoit. He was a professional engineer and graduate of Clarkson College, after serving in the US army. He worked at IBM, Kodak and owned various businesses, including Carini Construction, Ridge Engineers, and Carini Engineering Designs. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was active in his church as a greeter, board member, and the first one to get on a ladder. He loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes, and fava beans.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25th, at 11 am at Glad Tidings Church, 1980 Culver Road, Rochester NY 14609. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Glad Tidings Church.
