Obituary of M. James Lenhard

M. James "Jim" Lenhard

April 29, 1931- June 1, 2022, age 91 of Fairport, NY, formerly of Penfield, NY. 

A loyal member of Xerox Corporation, Jim began his Chemical Engineering career at the newly formed Haloid Corporation in 1957, two years after he married Mary Tschiderer Lenhard.  Throughout his 40 years at Xerox, he earned over a dozen patents for Xerographic technique prior to moving to the business strategies group to utilize his MBA from the Simon school.  Jim and Mary enjoyed extensive worldwide travelling, wine making, golf, gardening and do-it-yourself projects. 

Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Mary, surviving Jim are his son M. James Lenhard Jr (Landenberg, PA), daughter Julie Lenhard (Richard Mooney) (Fairport) and grandchildren Cooper Lenhard, Savannah Lenhard, Quinn Mooney, and Reed Mooney.   Thanks to Emma, Belinda, and everyone who allowed Jim and Mary to maintain their independence.   Jim’s family remembers his sense of humor and constant smile.

A Memorial Mass will be said at St. Joseph’s, Penfield NY, on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10 am.  The family will receive guests in the St. Joseph’s Fellowship Hall immediately following Mass.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to:  Heritage Christian Homes of Rochester.
