Dear John, Christy, Kelly, Marilyn, Pete, and family,
I am so very sorry for all of you. The loss you have is unbearable. Your hearts are broken and your lives will never be the same, or will mine. I don’t know what to say. There are no words. I know how much Patti loved all of you and how much you all meant to her. How cruel for this to have happened. Take care of each other and know you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Dale and Basia

Every life has a beginning, a middle and an end. A friend put it like this…When you see a tombstone, it has a date of birth, then a dash, then the date of death. It’s the dash that has the most meaning. It’s the dash, the middle, that was life. What will our dash say?
Patti’s dash held so much. A childhood in a loving, large family with traditions, birthdays, holidays, Sunday dinners with parents, grandparents, an older sister, Marilyn, aunts, uncles and cousins, sometimes with conflicts, always with lots of hugs and lessons learned. Then growing up with school days where lifelong friendships were formed. Her middle was also a career in teaching, finding love and marrying John, building their life together, traveling, expanding her family and circle of friends. Her legacy of children, Christy and Kelly, and grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa, Briella and Angelina. She was looking forward to her fifth grandchild, a girl. Her dash was 74 plus years long but too short. I said in a card to her that if I wrote a book of all our memories, it would be a bestseller. Her life was a bestseller. Rest in peace, my friend, the sister of my heart. Your dash, your life, will never be forgotten. Love, Kathy
