I met Dan and Joan in September 1978 when we gathered and were welcomed as the first class of aspiring Permanent Deacons and wives in the Diocese of Rochester,NY. He was a kind man and an educator. The Class of 1982 recently marked 40 years of Diaconal Service on April 17th! What an excellent return on the investment- decades of loving and dedicated service.
