Wanda Evette Ramos

Rochester: April 9, 2022 at age 59. 

Matriarch: A powerful woman (usually a mother, aunt, sister or wife) tasked with creating a “home” for her family or tribe. No one exemplifies this word more than Wanda Ramos. A devoted wife, an exceptional mother followed by being a grandmother and a great grandmother, a loyal sister, and the aunt that everyone wanted, Wanda’s home was large enough for all who entered. Anyone who has witnessed her magnanimity will tell you just how impactful her presence has been. Her accomplishments in her all-too-short time on this earth have been nothing short of a blessing. To say that Wanda will be missed is a major understatement.

Our loss of a truly remarkable spirit will be felt everyday. However, her love is immortal, living on in the hearts of her husband (Luis Texidor), 3 children (Diana, Kevin, and Omar), 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 surviving siblings, and the infinite number of people she has touched in her lifetime. Wanda, we will forever love you to the moon, past the stars, and back again. We may have lost a matriarch, but the heavens have gained a saint.
