JOHN WAS A GRAMMAR SCHOOL MATE OF MINE AT ST. ANDREW'S SCHOOL ON PORTLAND AVENUE. HE WAS ALWAYS KIND AND SWEET , FULL OF FUN AND LIFE. WE MET UP BRIEFLY LATER JUST PRIOR TO HIS RETIREMNET FOR THE POST OFFICE...NOTHING HAD CHANGED ...HE WAS THE SAME SWEET HEART I REMEMBERED ... MY SINCEREST CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY. HEAVEN HAS A NEW ANGEL.

Ann Marie and family, we are so sorry to hear about Johns passing. Just last summer we ran into him at Charlie's Restaurant on empire blvd. he said " Im picking up a fishfry for my wife " and we talked for a bit about his health issues and John said how Ann Marie was taking such good care of him. He was alot of fun, and always had a smile on his face. God Bless you Ann Marie and your beautiful family. Love, Sonny & Gerry

Uncle John was the best <3 We had so much fun at the camp this past season, especially when a deer snuck up on him only to be scared away when my dad called him on the radio--he loved telling that story! Thoughts and prayers to AnneMarie, Johnny, Michael, and the rest of the family.

John was truly One In A Million! I first met him in 1973 when he delivered mail to Xerox. He always had a smile then and all the way thru his life. I would see him weekends at Dunkin Donuts/Delta Sonic and it was great reconnecting.
Just an amazing man that really loved his family. He will be missed....RIP John!

To the families of John Samperi, I extend my sincere sympathy. John was a friend all through high school and I was blessed to have that friendship extend into the present. John was a kind, sincere man who always had a smile and hug for everyone. He was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. I always enjoyed bumping into him at a coffee/donut shoppe. He always made it feel like no time had passed since high school. I especially admired him for the love he had for his wife and the pride he took in his family and grandkids. I will miss his hug and his smile! RIP Johnny~I will see you again! Doreen Brockler
