Obituary of Jacob McKnight

December 21, 2021, at age 67. Predeceased by his parents, Pedro and Sallie McKnight. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Maria (Perez), his stepchildren, Lydia, Darla, Jose (Rebecca). Grandchildren, llana, Yakira, Jayden,
Amaris. One great grandchild, Benicio Jorge Jacob. His brother Pedro (Helen) and his beloved nephew Michael
. Jacob leaves behind a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, many church family and dear friends. Jacob had one very special aunt, Rose, who, rain or shine, visited Jacob every day. Jacob also had a special telephone prayer partner, 93-year-old Lilla Mae Swails. Sister Swails knew Jacob since birth; she and Jacob's mother were dear friends. Sister Swails loved Jacob as her own.

 

Jacob was a long time and active member of Jefferson Ave. Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a well-respected Sabbath School teacher and church elder. Jacob was a proud graduate of the University of Rochester, and a devoted
science teacher in the RCSD for over 22 years.  

 

Special recognition to the all the medical staff at Monroe Community HospitaClinton Crossing and Brighton Dialysis Centers.

 

Calling hours for Jacob are as follows: Wednesday, December 29th, 1-3pm and 5-7pm. Service will be on Thursday, December 30th., 10-11am both at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609, followed by burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jacob's memory to The House of Mercy and the American Diabetes Association.
