Heaven has gained another Angel! Kathy has been a part of our lives and our children dating to 1997! When my oldest started at PVNS. She was an amazing leader at PVNS! When she retired she was truly missed. Her bright smile, always happy! Both of my girls had an amazing start to school in part because of Kathy's dedication to the kids and the teachers.
We are so sorry for your families loss.

Heaven gained a gem! Kathy was fun and caring.
I remember the fun we had playing Santa’s elves for the Lions Club breakfast with Santa. Kathy was so jovial and cute! I also remember her continuously caring for someone whether a friend, relative and of course the loving care she gave her parents. She took care of Rick during his time of illness and was a very supportive mom. She was proud of Chad and Kyle and I loved hearing about their adventures through the years. Boy will I miss her!! Love you Kathy and this Christmas you spend it with the main man himself! Peace to her family.

Our sweet neighbor passed away from a long battle with cancer.
I remember the first time I met her 8 years ago when I moved into my house. She came over in an adorable outfit with a gift for the kitchen wrapped perfectly with a blue and gold bow. She came inside and greeted me so warmly and said, “show me what you’ve done with the place.” I was 28, single, and most of my boxes were unpacked in the garage. I told her that I’d had new appliances put in and managed to hang a floral swag with tacks on the living room wall, but beyond that the house was the same. She looked at the flowers and then at me and told me how beautiful they were. She was comforting and sweet, and with no judgement at all. I remember wanting to be like her, to be so put together and proud of my home.
When I met my husband, she would walk us over the most delicious cookies for holidays. They never lasted more than a day. They were perfectly baked, and tasted like no one else’s. They were different types, but the chocolate chip were simply the best we ever had. My husband would not stop talking about how delicious they were. They were carefully packaged and handled with care. I remember thinking that some day I’d love to make cookies like hers.
When my first son was born, she came to meet him and hold him so fondly. She brought comfort when I was experiencing a new life as a mom. She would walk over cute gift bags for both of our sons all of the time - they were filled with Halloween books, Mickey Mouse socks they still wear, and bubbles for the summer days. Each bag packed with love, and tied with curly ribbon. My sons loved to see her. It was clear that she was a mother in every definition of the word. I remember thinking after she left holding Lemmy that I always had someone to call if I needed help to be a mom.
Once after dropping off a package after hearing she was sick, she called me and we talked about COVID and schools and how hard it was to constantly keep everyone together when you work in education and that she would lie awake thinking about how to make sure that everyone she worked with was ok. I remember thinking that I hope when I retire I have made an impact like she did on those she led.
I knew she was sick, but never believed she would pass because she was strong. When other neighbors went to sing to her, I couldn’t because my heart was broken and I could not tell my children why. We saw her walking in the neighborhood all of the time, smiling and waving as we drove by or put the boys in the car. Her steps were intentional and she kept fighting. I would always think, I should get out and exercise like her to be strong.
Will never forget her and all of her kindness and love. Will constantly remind myself to be kind, to take pride in work, and to constantly give service to others.
Rest In Peace, Kathy.
