Obituary of Vincent R. Gallo

Vincent R. Gallo

Irondequoit: Unexpectedly on October 11, 2021, at age 88. Predeceased by his wife Virginia, his parents Louis & Mary, and his sister Jean. Survived by his children Marie Doty & Lorraine Saulsbury; Grandchildren Michael (Tracy) Doty & Steven Doty; Great-granddaughter Kelly Grey Doty; Sister, Margaret Finaldi; beloved companion Dolores Mauro and her children; many dear nieces and nephews.

Our father was a very thoughtful, caring, giving, person with a heart of gold. He served his country and community by serving in the US Army and was a detective with the RPD for many years. He was the youngest to retire at age 42, in 1976. Continuing to support his community, Vince started two businesses with his wife Virginia. In the early days, his flower shop was in our garage on Arbutus Street, followed by his Travel Agency, Four Seasons Travel. Many knew him for being a diehard Yankee’s fan, his meticulous yard, and his love for his family. He was so happy to be alive to see his great-granddaughter, Kelly. He called her “Pupa”.

Vince’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he impacted. Vince will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed. He will always be in our hearts.

Calling hours THUR 10/14/21 from 4-8 pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N.
