Beloved husband, father and Pastor, passed away on September 9, 2021. Pastor Ed is predeceased by parents Edward and Edna Saresky of Queens Village, NY and cherished wife Esther Saresky. He leaves behind children Edward (Nancy) Saresky of (Victor, NY), Catherine Saresky (Rochester, NY), Mark Saresky (Kristine Parmele) of (Webster, NY) Pat Claus- Lapresi (David) of (Macedon, NY). Grand children Jeannie (Simon) Sheehan, Michelle Drahms (Billy), Matthew Saresky (Tara Enderlin) and Jason Saresky (Krystal Philipps), Sara Saresky, Patrick Saresky and Alexandra Saresky. He also has 7 beautiful great grandchildren, Tanner, Adrianna and Brooks Drahms, Olivia, Audrey and Grant Sheehan, Lillie Saresky, several nieces and nephews and loving and caring friends.
Pastor Saresky was a graduate of Concordia College in Bronxville and continued onto seminary training at Concordia Theologica Seminary in St Louis Missouri until completion in 1953. During his post college Vicarage years he taught Religion, English and Latin to Bronxville College undergraduates. Pastor Saresky was ordained into the ministry at his first parish, Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. After 4 years he accepted a call to serve the newly established congregation Faith Lutheran Church in Penfield, NY. He was installed in June 1957 and continued serving at Faith Lutheran Church until retirement in January 1994. Pastor Saresky became the Pastor Emeritus for Faith until his passing and served over 60 years as an Ordained Minister.
Pastor Saresky served in many roles across the Eastern District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod during his ministry and for 10 years participated on the Commission on Appeals for the larger, nationwide Missouri Synod Lutheran Church Body.
Calling hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. (Rte. 250) Webster on Thursday Sept 16th from 1:30-4:30. Service of Victory will be held at Faith Lutheran Church 2576 Browncroft Blvd. on Thursday Sept 16th at 6 pm. Memorials should be sent to Faith Lutheran Church in Penfield, NY.
Graveside Committal Service will occur at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY on Friday Sept 17th at 10 am.
