Jennie was born on May 26, 1926 in Rochester, NY to Frank and Anna Pullara. She was married to Charles (Chuck) Arena in 1949 at St. Andrew’s Church on Portland Avenue. Together, they proudly raised their three boys David, Donald, and Andrew. Following her years as a homemaker, she worked for Sibleys, McCurdy’s, Camera Works, and a local sandwich shop. Dedicated to her faith, she was an active member of St. Stanislaus church for many years.

Jennie made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was kind, caring, and thoughtful to everyone, and her smile lit up the room. Jennie was an amazing cook, sharing many recipes and techniques with her family. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting, as well as playing cards, Bingo, taking trips to the casino, bowling, and putting together puzzles. She was very proud of her sons, and their families, and was eager to share their accomplishments with everyone she met.

In the last few years of her life, Jennie resided at the St. Anne’s Home on Portland Ave. She was an active member of the community regularly attending mass in the chapel, participating in social activities such as Bingo, ceramics, arts and crafts, a golf tournament (which she won), and a fashion show (which she also won). Her outgoing personality and her intuition to support others never faded. She was often found comforting new residents as they settled into their new home. Her family is forever grateful for the care and comfort provided by the St. Anne’s Home, especially on the 5th and 7th floors.
