Obituary of Leandro Colon Jr.

Leandro Colon Jr., age 80, left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

He was born in Salinas, PR and lived in Rochester, NY.

He was married to Genoveva Alvarez for 25 years and had three beautiful. He worked for Eastman Kodak for 18 years in the Chemical Department. He was a barber for over 50 years and proudly owned his own barbershop. Leandro was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. He was the life of the party and he was happiest when he was making people laugh. He loved animals. He would go out of his way to help others. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Predeceased by his parents Leandro Colon and Hermina DeJesus, siblings Monin, Gina, Tito, and Carlos.

Survived by his children Daniel Leandro Colon (Viktoria); Betzaida Hernandez (Luis); Dorothy Edwards (David); Grandchildren: Jessica Ashley, Christina Lee, Jeremy, Jasmine, Isabela, Nikolai, and many more who called him grandpa; Great-grandchildren: Chrishawn Jr., Cayden, Caleb, Preston, and Penelope; Siblings: Ruben (Rosa), Maria, Paco His pets: Gordo and Princesa.

Calling hours will be held 3-7 pm with a service at 6 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021 and a Memorial Service on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10 am all at Falvo Funeral Home 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
