Ida will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.  She cherished loving and living life with her devoted husband, Carmelo, and put Our Lord, God above all. She loved praying and spreading Gods word.

She most enjoyed gatherings with her family and was happiest cooking her famous meals and her lasagna was, bar none, the best! Her famous Italian cookies were a favorite to all and coveted by many. Often told she should open a bakery; she would say she loved giving her sweets away.  Her cooking and baking were her expressions of her  love and family always came first, a true Matriarch.

Ida immigrated from Sicily to Erie, PA, and ultimately to Rochester, NY. She was a fashion designer and seamstress and worked at Hickey  Freeman for 38 years.  She also designed and made many of her children’s clothing.  Additionally, she had work brought home from Adrien Jules so she could raise her children.

She had a wonderful, full life with her loving  husband, and was the bedrock of her family.  The love and devotion they shared was plain to see to everyone who knew them... Love is eternal, and she exemplified it. She will live on in our hearts and memories until we meet again.
