Obituary of Lisa Lowell Piazza
Lisa (Lowell) Piazza was born on May 13, 1967 in Niskayuna, NY and passed away peacefully on Sunday March 21, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Charles Piazza whom was the love of her life. She is also survived by her first son Eric Tait, his wife Britni and beloved grandson Colton, her second son Jordan Tait and his fiancé Courtney Hansen and third son, Ryan Tait. Additionally, she is survived by her mother Joan (Glode) Lowell as well as numerous loving family members including a sister Diane (Lowell) Fowler, many nieces and nephews and sisters and brothers in law. She is predeceased by her father, Perry Lowell and brother David Lowell.
Lisa spent the past 29 years working as a teacher for the Webster Central School District teaching social studies. In addition to teaching she was also a track & field and cross-country coach for many years. She was great at what she did and was loved by almost everyone she came into contact with. Lisa’s spirit for service was strong, she loved to help in any way she could, from sitting on the Webster Federal Credit Unions’ board to chaperoning school plays, concerts and sporting events at the school.
In her personal life Lisa was always around to help a friend or family member in need, all you had to do was ask and she would arrange her schedule to be available no matter the request. Ask anyone and they will tell you how busy her schedule on any given day was – filled with tasks to help others or ease their burden in any way she could.
Throughout the years Lisa was kept busy watching her three sons play sports year-round and managed to never miss a single game! She loved being there for the boys and their teams to cheer them on and show her support. In her down time she enjoyed taking vacations and traveling, usually to warm destinations where she could sit at the beach with a good book in the sun all day long – her happy place. When not traveling, she enjoyed spending time at home baking and learning new recipes, some of which became family favorites that will be treasured forever.
Anyone who knew Lisa knows that she knew how to have a good time especially if her favorite drinks, Fireball whiskey and wine were around! She loved to tell the story of the one time she owned FOUR kitchen aid mixers thanks to this combination. She was also adventurous and even tried squirrel and porcupine (cooked by her non-chef son, Eric) while spending time at the family’s cabin stacking and unstacking and restacking firewood.
