Lawrence J. Vannozzi
Webster:Passed away on January 10, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with kidney cancer at age 83. A native of Trenton NJ, he was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Constance Vannozzi. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Dolores Vannozzi, son Larry, Jr. (Bethany), daughters Lynda Page (Christopher), Cheryl Vannozzi (boyfriend Loren Balsis), grandsons Russell and Benjamin Vannozzi, step-granddaughter Emily Page, sister Annarose Parra (John), brothers-in law Louis (Janice) and Donald (Mary) Peoples and many nephews and nieces.
After being honorably discharged from the U. S. Navy he was employed by the RCA Space Center in Princeton, NJ, working on such weather and lunar programs as TIROS, Nimbus, Ranger and Apollo. Subsequently he and his family moved to Webster, NY, and enjoyed a successful career at Xerox Corporation from which he retired after 22 years of service.
During retirement he was a snowbird living at the beach on Pawleys Island, SC. He did volunteer work at St Cyprian’s Church and Friendship Place in Georgetown, SC, both outreach centers servicing the poor.
Calling hours FRI 4-7 pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. (Rte 250 Webster). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Church on Hard Road Webster, NY SAT 10 am. Private Interment will be at Webster Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lipson Cancer Institute, St Paul’s Church, Lifetime Care Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
