Pasquale Soricone

Obituary of Pasquale M. Soricone

Pasquale M. “Pat” Soricone, of Irondequoit/Rochester, NY passed away from complications brought on by the coronavirus, Dec 3rd, 2020. He was 90 years old.

A native of Rochester, Pat was a proud 1948 graduate of Edison Tech High School and served on his reunion committee for many decades. He was working at Sibley’s in the late 1940s when he met his future wife, Lena. Her passing two weeks ago brought a close to their 70 year marriage. His 60+ year career working in sales found him at Van Dussen Paint Company in Rochester, Sunland Sales in AZ, and Rochester Colonial Manufacturing. His outgoing nature and commitment to customer service with integrity resulted in many lifelong friendships with colleagues as well as former customers. His sales talent successes resulted in numerous recognitions and awards, including trips to international destinations. His leadership positions in the industry included serving multiple terms as President of the National Paint Distributors.

In his young adult life, Pat played semi-pro football, and he played the saxophone and clarinet in local jazz bands. For many years, he was an expert bowler on the Lawyers Cooperative Team. An avid old movie fan, he could name nearly every actor (and their spouses) in every TCM film.

Pat is survived by many relatives and long-time friends, daughter Lisa (Joseph Donis) of Arlington MA, son Steven (Linda Testa) of Schenectady, son Patrick (Todd Tressler) of Seattle/Bologna, brother Bernard “Bernie” of Arizona, daughter-in-law Susan Soricone, as well as grandchildren Joseph M. Soricone, Jr. (Neyza Morales), Alexander Donis, and Andrew Donis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including dearest Joe Ladelfa (Janice) and Grace LaDelfa and Charlotte; and great-grandchildren, Cairo, Joey, Hoya and Lena.

He is preceded in death by wife Lena (LaDelfa), his parents Pasquale and Josephine (Galletti), and son Joseph.

For 18 years, Pat benefitted from the caring and committed team at Seneca Ridge Dialysis Center. It was here that he developed yet a new network of friends, and as the elder statesman, he often helped new patients overcome their anxieties of balancing life with dialysis treatments.

Donations in his memory may be made to Seneca Ridge Dialysis Center, Attn: Patient Aid Fund, 370 East Ridge Road, Suite 10, Rochester, NY 14621.
