Arline was born in Rochester, NY on September 7th, 1942.  She graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1960 and went on to Miss McCarthy’s Business School in Rochester, NY.  She worked 6 years as an administrative assistant for Rochester Gas & Electric Company before devoting herself full-time to raising her family.  Arline worked for the Webster Central School District for 18 years and spent numerous years volunteering at Klem Road South Elementary School in Webster, the Rochester City School District, and the Webster Recreation Senior Center.

Arline had a very outgoing personality, was able to start a conversation with practically anyone, and especially enjoyed socializing with her close friends, “the club”.  She was skilled and creative in the kitchen, trying new ideas regularly, interpreting recipes loosely, and rarely measuring ingredients.  Arline was proud of her Ukrainian heritage, particularly enjoying the holiday food and traditions.  She loved to travel, being especially fond of Caribbean cruises, and loved to talk with others about their travels.  Arline was a fan of classic cars and classic movies, particularly those by Alfred Hitchcock.  A fan of both modern music and oldies, Arline loved musicals and attending outdoor concerts.  She enjoyed shopping and the pursuit of the best deal and was a devoted supporter of any sport or event her children and grandchildren participated in.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wealth of caregivers, family / friends that supported Arline in her final months, we especially thank her primary caregiver Lisa, as well as the team at Rochester Regional Health’s Lifetime Care, the Rochester Geriatric Consultation Service, and the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center for their compassionate care.
