He worked 90+ hours a week until opening his first restaurant on Central Avenue in 1956, where he first saw Mary walking by the window in front of the grill. They were married in 1958 and worked together to build a family, open and operate many restaurants, most notably, the Tip Top restaurants throughout the city, and his favorite, The Nutcracker in Webster, where he could be found daily entertaining the customers.

Danny was a proud member of AHEPA, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and Drosopigi Society. It was so important to Danny to share his Greek culture with his family, he took them on a month-long trip to Greece and shared his love for his homeland with them. His family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed telling them countless stories of his life. He will be greatly missed. We thank him for the beautiful life he provided for all of us.
