John J. Kaminska "Jack"

Rochester- October 1st, 2020 at age 65.  Jack died peacefully at home after his 13 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.  Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Irene Kaminska; brother, William (Eileen); granddaughters, Natalie and Juliet.  

During Jack and Nancy’s 38 years of marriage, they created a wonderful life together making everlasting friendships, traveling, working together and growing a family.  He was a loving and devoted father to his three children; Jennifer (Christopher) Robinson, Jeffrey (Emily) Kaminska and Jonathan (Claudia) Kaminska.  “Pops” to his grandchildren, James and Claire Robinson.  Brother to; Robert (Donna), James (Lynne), Thomas (Christine), Michael (Jennifer), sister; Mary Ann (Gary); and many nieces and nephews.  

Jack was born in Buffalo, NY in 1955 and grew up in a loving family with a passion for all sports.  He was inducted into the University at Buffalo Athletic Hall of Fame as a two-sport athlete in hockey and baseball.  Jack moved to Rochester and had an illustrious 42- year career with City Mattress which became an extension of his family.  Jack was a family man and a man of faith, principle and integrity.  It was important to Jack to inspire others and make them the best they can be. He’s influenced all of our lives by his strong will and fight to live.  Jack will forever be in our hearts and minds.

On Monday, October 5th from 4:00-8:00 pm, all family and friends are invited to attend his wake at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd.
