Obituary of Dolores Scalzo

Dolores Scalzo-Webster, NY

Passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020.

Dolores Scalzo was born February 10, 1936 in Providence, R.I. The daughter of the late Frank and Stella Szydlo.  She married Dominic R. Scalzo in 1956 and moved to Easton, PA where they lived for 9 years. Dolores, Dominic and their three children moved to Geneva, N.Y., where they lived for 41 years.  They enjoyed 49 years of marriage, before Dominic passed away on August 2, 2005.  She was employed by the Geneva School District for 23 years and worked for Attorney, Bradley Prozeller, for 5 years.  She was also a volunteer at the Geneva General Hospital.  She moved to Webster in 2006 and then started working for the Webster School District as an Aide at Klem Road North School.

She is survived by 3 children, Thomas (Laurie) Scalzo of Penfield, John (Teresa) Scalzo of Webster, Cathy Stivers (Terry Thomas) of Webster; 6 grandchildren-Dominic (Mica) Scalzo, Nicholas Scalzo, Ryan Scalzo, Stephen (Melania) Scalzo, John (Jennifer) Stivers and Shelby Stivers (Evan Urquhart); her twin sister Dorothy (Patrick) Cook of Baton Rouge, LA. Lucy Gellock (sister-in-law) and Bessie Raisner (sister-in-law) both from Easton, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Services will be Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2-5PM at Falvo Funeral Home Inc., 1295 Fairport Nine- Mile Point Road, Webster, NY 14580 and Funeral will be held Monday, September 28th at 11AM, St. Stephan’s Church, 48 Pulteney St, Geneva, NY 14456.  Private burial at Glenwood Cemetery.
