Obituary of Ruth Norton

Norton, Ruth C. (Maguire) Webster: Jan. 3, 2013, at age 88. Predeceased by her husband, Herman; and her brothers Alan & Donald. Survived by her children, Susan (Howard) Wilson of MA, Carol (Gary) Connors, Barbara Norton, Jean Arrowsmith (Jay Gilfus), and Douglas (Mary) Norton; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson of CA, Aimee Wilson of MA, Jeffrey (Beth) Wilson of CA, Andrew Connors of CA, Brandon Connors, Nathan Arrowsmith & Sarah Arrowsmith (Michael Ford); great-granddaughter, Kylie Ford; also many other relatives & dear friends. Ruth was born in Verona, NJ in 1924. She earned her RN and Bachelor's Degree in Health Education at New Jersey State Teacher's College in 1944. She worked as a healthcare professional and teacher for over 50 years. Ruth was a devoted volunteer EMT and paramedic at Perinton & Irondequoit Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She served as a eucharistic minister at St. Ambrose Church in Rochester for many years, and was a member of the "Marthas" at St. Paul's Church in Webster. Calling hours MONDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Webster, Rte. 250). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mary Cariola Children's Center, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, 14620. On TUESDAY, please meet the family at 9 AM in St. Paul's Church (783 Hard Rd., Webster) for a Celebration of her Funeral Mass. Interment, Webster Union Cemetery.
