Obituary of Anna M. Tassi
Anna M. Tassi (Sinisgalli)
Peacefully, on April 26, 2020, at 88 years old.
A lifelong Rochester, NY native, Anna worked at Bausch & Lomb for 47 years before retiring in 1997. Her greatest joys in life were family and friends, and she will be held dear in their hearts forever. She is survived by her cherished children, Louis (Jayne) Tassi and Gina (Christopher) Thomas, as well as adored grandchildren Nicholas (Marisa) Tassi, Jillian Tassi, Cameron Thomas and Lindsay Thomas, and great-granddaughter Mira Tassi. She also is survived by a beloved sister, Lucille Neri and is predeceased by her dear sister, Rita Randazzo. She leaves behind many much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
If as Emerson once wrote, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well,” then Anna truly fulfilled her purpose on this earth. Her life was not always easy, but one lived through faith, hard work and by putting her family first. She will never be forgotten.
“From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” -Psalm 61:2
A private memorial will be held at the family’s request in the future. In lieu of flowers, please honor our loved one by making cherished memories with your own loved ones and giving them the gift of time spent.
