Obituary of Salvatore M. Mastrosimone

Salvatore Mastrosimone "Barney Masters"

April 30, 2020 at the age of 97, as a resident of Veterans Home of Batavia.

Barney was predeceased by the love of his life Mary of 50 years in 1996, and his brother James (Jimmy) Mastrosimone.
Survived by his son, Samuel (Pamela) and grandson Sammy Mastrosimone, daughter Mary Ann (Joseph) Pizzo, grandchildren Joseph (Melinda) Pizzo, Janine (Michael) Aiello, great-grandchildren Ryan, Anna, Elliana, Kensington, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of The Eastman School of Music. Known to many as Barney Masters and leading an outstanding career as an accomplished trumpet player and band leader, while working for the Rochester City School District and retiring in 1978. His love, energy, generosity and loyalty to his family will be greatly missed.

Private funeral service. Donations can be made to Veterans Home of Batavia (220 Richmond Avenue Batavia, NY 14020).
