Charles L. Yannello (Carra)

Irondequoit: Charles passed away suddenly on April 3, 2020 due to complications from the COVID-19 virus.

He is predeceased by his wife Rosemary, parents John & Frances, and his brother John.

He is survived by his beloved, wife Diana (DeeDee), his children Chuck (Chris), Lori (Mark) Alaimo, extended children Tracy Sulli, Jodee (Dan) Laganello, Joseph (Gina) Carra, and Danielle (Marty) Krentz; grandchildren Mark & Justin Alaimo; extended grandchildren Nicholas, Alyssa, Johnny, Angelo (Maddie), Diana, Michael, Tiffany (Dan) , Joey, Giana, Cooper, Victoria,Nicholas and Arica (Peter); extended great-grandchildren Dominic, Joey Cristal, Brooklyn, and Baylee.

Chuck and DeeDee had one blended family and he was loved as a father and grandfather by the whole bunch! Chuck served in the Army and traveled all over Europe. He was a 20-year veteran of the Rochester Police Department and a member of the Police Locust Club.

Chuck was an avid reader, loved to play cards, tell stories, build or fix anything and was always willing to help anyone whenever asked. The most joy Chuck had was being home with his precious DeeDee and surrounded by his family.

The family will be having a Memorial Mass to be announced at a later time.

A special Thank You to the staff and nurses at Kirkhaven Nursing Home for the great care and compassion they showed to Chuck.
