Obituary of Susan Marie Healy

Susan Marie Healy:

On Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at the age of 65 Susan Marie Healy ended her battle with Cancer. She chose to fight it and she did so admirably with unbelievable courage and strength. Her battle ended peacefully with her children by her side. As always, her children were her main focus and greatest joy. She didn’t fear her circumstances; her concern was for her children.

Sue was predeceased by her parents, Timothy M. Healy and Rosemary Cosgrove Healy as well as her granddaughter, Briella Ball. 

Sue is survived by her children; Joseph (Chandra) Contento, Shelley Ball, and Michael (Charlotte Radlov) Contento, her grandchildren; Piper Contento, Brody Contento, and Connor Ball, her sister, Anne (Donald Guido) Healy, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. 

Sue was born and raised in Cortland, NY where she attended St. Mary’s school, Cortland Jr./Sr. High school, and then went on to further her education at State University of New York at Cortland and Colgate University. Sue worked at Smith Corona, NCR, and then Xerox. 

Sue will be remembered for her love of traveling, the arts, nature, and her family. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Hildebrandt Hospice Center and various friends who cared lovingly for Sue in her final weeks. 

A wake will be held at Falvo Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 from 4-8pm. Flowers can be sent to: Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. Webster, NY 14580. Donations are also welcomed for Golisano Children’s Hospital and Lifetime Care Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
