Fairport - October 1st 2019. Sam was predeceased by his sister Charity Campbell, wife Joan (Sherbinski) Messer, granddaughter Haley Messer, and nephew Duane Quackenbush.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen (McFee) Messer, son Samuel Messer Jr wife Sharon, daughter Donna Haines husband John, son Joseph Messer wife Dori, son John Messer wife Anette, son Sean Kibrick wife Brooke, daughter Tara (Kibrick) Welkley, his beloved sister Maxine Quackenbush, nephews Gary Quackenbush, Michael and Matthew Campbell, grandchildren Shannon, Nicole, Christopher, Cara, Gregory, Benjamin, Johnny, Jake, Shea, Easton, Cyrus, and great-grandchildren Peyton, Samuel, Berlin, Bennett, and Karris.

Sam founded and operated S.E. Messer Inc, Hauling Contractor; in 1962, proudly participating in the construction of local colleges, schools, commercial developments, and highways until retiring in 1999. He was a savvy self-made businessman who took great pride in his life's work.

Sam was a Korean War veteran with a tender heart and a witty soul. In 2003, he married Kathleen the love of his life. Sam lived for his family, friends, pets, tractors and truckin!

Calling Hours on Saturday 3PM - 7PM and Sunday 1PM - 2PM with a funeral service to follow at 2PM BOTH at the Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, NY. Interment Private.
