Oscar Guzman Morales

6/10/31-7/23/19

Oscar Guzman Morales was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico on June 10, 1931 to Cruz Maria Morales & Eladio Guzman.

Oscar was raised by his aunt Juana Rivera in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He migrated to Marion, NY in 1965 where he worked on a farm. He eventually moved to Rochester, NY where he met the love of his life, Staffie Lawson to whom he married. His jobs included installing fences, construction job with the International Labors Union #435 & Delco Products where he eventually retired from in 1996.

Mr. Morales was a very humble man who had a smile that would light up a room. He loved being around family and friends. His home is a place where everyone felt welcomed and loved. He loved the NY Yankees & loved playing baseball for the Puerto Rican All Stars.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Staffie Morales who has been right by his side, his sons Bruce Morales, Ernest English, Alvin English, daughter Cynthia English Britt, Son, Gary English,nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

God whispered in Mr. Morales’ ear early Tuesday morning (7/23/19) that is was his time. He answered the call and died peacefully in his sleep at home where he was surrounded by his family.

Calling hours Sunday 2-6pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609. Please join the family Monday 10 am at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church (250 Dr Samuel McCree Way, Rochester, NY 14611) for a celebration of his funeral mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
