William Wayne Hewitt "Bill"
Webster, NY/Mesa, AZ - Age 81. Passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born February 20, 1938 to Hiram and Florence Hewitt both deceased; in Somerset, NY. He graduated from Lockport Senior H.S. in 1955. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Robert (Irene) Hewitt. He is survived by his 6 sons, David Grant (Debra) Hewitt, Scott (Anne) Hewitt, Todd (Janet) Hewitt, Daniel (Christine) Hewitt, Mark (Angela) Hewitt, Corey (Heidi) Hewitt; sister, Darlene (Donald) Pasceri; longtime companion, Irene Reich; 8 grandchildren; a nephew and several nieces.
He was previously married to Beverly Bolowske on April 8, 1961 with whom he had 6 sons. Bill proudly served his country from 1961-1964 in Fort Benning, GA. as a Military Police Officer.
He started at Haloid (which was renamed Xerox in 1958) as a Machine Operator. At the age of 19 where he worked for more than 40 years until he retired. Bill was a proud founding member of the Webster-Fairport Elks Lodge#2396 and served as the Exhalted Ruler from 1984-1985. He was still an active member at the time of his death. He was an active golfer and loved watching sports. Bill's dry sense of humor and kindness brought much joy to anyone who had the privilege to know him. He will be missed on many levels.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 3-8 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Webster, NY (Route 250). There will be a Memorial Service the following day Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Falvo Funeral Home. Following the Service there will be a reception to celebrate Bill's life at Webster-Fairport Elks Lodge, 1066 Jackson Rd., Webster, NY starting at 12PM. A private family burial will be held at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers memorial donations for Cerebral Palsy in his name may be sent to B.P.O.E., Elks Lodge #2396, 1066 Jackson Rd., Webster, NY 14580. Donations will be sent to the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Rochester, NY which is the major charity of the Webster-Fairport Elks.
