Obituary of Anna M. Montione

Anna M. Montione

Irondequoit - March 14, 2019 age 96. Predeceased by her parents, Alphonse and Michelina Montione and her twelve brothers and sisters, Rosario, Dr. John, Charles, Sam, Josephine, Ida, Virginia, Carmella, Lena, Caroline, Dr. Carl and twin sister Mary. Survived by her sister in law Barbara Montione; special nephew and niece Michael and Kelly Caccamise; also many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Ann was the last surviving member of an incredible family that will never be replicated in any lifetime.

Ann was a graduate of the Eastman Dental Dispensary and a longtime dental hygienist along with her twin sister Mary. Both worked alongside their brother Dr. Carl in the Sibley Tower Building for most of their careers.

Growing up during the depression, Ann had few possessions but that only inspired her to give more to others in her later years. She loved making cloth shopping bags and bead necklaces that she gladly gave with love to a vast number of people over the years. She set up a charitable education trust bearing her name at St. John Bosco School to assist children who wanted to be taught in the Catholic Faith but could not afford it. Ann was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of Mt. Carmel and Annunciation Churches where she shared her beautiful singing voice as part of the choir.

A special thanks to her "Angels on Earth" that cared for her at home for the last several years, Tina, Roxanne, Mary Jo, Nancy, Gail, Samantha and Stacey. They all became part of her extended family.
