Anastasia "Sia" Stathe
Webster - (1934-2019). Peacefully on January 5, 2019 at age 84. Born in Florina, Greece to Kosmas and Dafni Mihou. She is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Evangelos "Van" Stathe; Sisters, Kasiani Liapis and Ekaterini Styliadis; Brothers-in- law, Thomas Stathopoulos, Dino Stathe and Sister-in-law, Elpiniki Harissis.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Vicky (Andrew) Smith, Elizabeth (Robert) Harris and Diane (Thomas) Streber. Three adored grandchildren, Adrianna and Conor Smith, Olivia Harris. Sisters, Maria (Pavlos) Christidis and Margarita (Stylianos) Tegas; Brothers-in-law, Sotirios Styliadis and Kostas Liapis; Sisters-in-law, Despina (Evangelos) Gitsis of Florina, Greece, Dimitra Stathopoulos and Voula Stathe; Uncle Daniel (Mary) Manou and many nephews and nieces.
Sia immigrated to Rochester in 1959, newly married and was blessed to live the American dream alongside her husband. Sia's family was everything to her. Her sisters were her best friends. She showed her love through her cooking, baking, gardening and made the tastiest pitas ever. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
Sia's daughters would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Heathwood Memory Care and Friendly Home for the loving care given to Mom and the support shown to her daughters.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, from 5pm to 8pm with the Trisagion at 8pm both at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport-Nine Mile Point Rd, (Rte.250) Webster. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 12 at 10:30am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 962 East Ave. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park, Fr Angelo Maggos presiding. Donations may be made in Sia's memory to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
