Joseph H. Marsala

Webster - Oct. 16, 2018, age 97. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Louise Marsala. Survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Philomena; his daughter, Diana; grandchildren, Joseph (Anna), and Christina; his sister, Rosalie Albano; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Joe was a proud WWII First Lt. Air Force Veteran, he flew 30 missions over Germany as a lead bombardier and navigator, was a member of the 447 Bomb Group and the 709 Squadron. He was one of the founders of Fiz Beverages. He was not only a hero to our country but especially to his family.

No prior calling hours. Joseph's Funeral Mass will be celebrated THURSDAY 10:30 AM in Peace of Christ at St. Ambrose Church (Empire Blvd. @ Clifford Ave.). "A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Rochester General Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care shown to Joseph and our family". Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
