David L. Zaskoda

Penfield - Passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 78.  David passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends after a long courageous battle with cancer.   Beloved husband to Kathy, beloved father to David and Lori.  Pre-deceased by his parents, Irene and Arthur Zaskoda. 

 Survived by his son David (Christine) Carlson, daughter Lori (Kevin) Horkey, grandaughter Brooke,  grandson Logan, his brother Daniel (Betty) Zaskoda and family, his sister Janet (Mike) Terry and family, and many dear nieces and nephews.   Also survived by his sister-in-law Patty (Randy) Phillips and family, his brother-in-law Gordon (Heather) Smith and family, his sister-in-law Dale Ralph, and his sister in-law Judi (Harry) Newman.

 David was born in Buffalo and grew up on the family dairy farm in Castile, New York.  While he had many interests, he will best be remembered as an amazing musician – a bass player who loved playing gigs across Western New York with so many beloved fellow musicians and friends. 

 Calling hours for David will be on Friday September 14th from 4PM-8PM with words of remembrance at 8PM at the Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd.(Route 250) Webster. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
