John (Jack) A. McCarthy

Webster, NY 1/20/31 – 4/15/18

Predeceased by beloved wife Joan, father John A. McCarthy & mother Marie Marr McCarthy. Survived by children Shannon (Don) Wright, Scott McCarthy & Mary (Dan) Ferrari; Grandchildren Allyson (Jason), Brendan (Lee), Courtney, Max & Abbie; 2 great grandchildren; Sister Pat (Jim) Barry and nieces Suzanne & Mary Jane.

Jack was a proud Marine and avid golfer preferring to ‘walk & carry’ until he gave in to using a hand cart.  He discovered yoga late in life & so loved his friends at the Y.  Jack was retired from Kodak in 1986 which afforded him more time to enjoy  his ‘woods’ & the animals that he’d commune with.

Jack was a devoted husband, loving father with a warm heart & tender, compassionate spirit.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt Nine Mile Pt. Rd., Webster.  Burial Private.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made (per dad’s request) to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
