Irondequoit. Predeceased by wife Violet (Mendola), son in law Bud Skennion, 10 siblings Frank, August, Joe, Santo, Louis, Tony, John, William, Mary & Lee.  Survived by daughters Gail Skennion, Diane (Steve) Grabowski. Grandchildren Daniel (Caroline) Grabowski, Vanessa (Erik) Saeger, Ashley Skennion, Amanda (Adam) Miller, Emily (Peter) Grabowski, great grandchildren William & Cecilia Grabowski, Charlotte Saeger, Adaline Miller.Siblings Jo Deni, Angie (Mike) Charles, RoseAnn Coco, Ellie (Nick) Giannone, Steve (Nora) Coco. In laws Carm Natale, Lena Scarfone, Sarah (Frank) LoTemplio, Lonnie (Sam) Mendola, Evelyn DiSalvo, Sam Saporito; In-law aunt and uncle Tony and Anna Bonanno. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Sam was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Funeral services 9:30 am Wednesday 12/27/17 at Christ the King Church 445 Kings Hwy S, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale Pittsford for their kind, gentle, loving devotion and care of “Sammy” and the URMC Hospice Team for their support and care.
