Penfield: James P. Bishop, Sr. passed away with his loving family by his side on November 9th at the Shepherd Home in Penfield. Jim was born on September 30, 1939 in Syracuse, the son of James and Helen Bishop. Jim married Carole Ide sharing a union of 58 years together. He progressed throughout his 27 years at Pepsi Cola in Syracuse, finishing his career with multiple roles at Dick Ide Honda before retiring. Surviving are his wife Carole; his daughter Christine (John) Stachniewicz; sons Jim (Dawn) and David (Karen); grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Adam (Taylor), Emily, Allison & Kelly; and two new great grandchildren, Levi & Regan; one brother, Jerry. Jim had a deep passion for his grandchildren as well as music, cars, animals, nature, card games, people and conversation. His infectious smile and laugh lit up every room he was in and he had an incredible gift of making each individual feel special. 

Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday, November 16 from 4-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Rte.250) Webster. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Jim's name may be made to the Shepherd Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Rd, Penfield, New York, 14526 or Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623.
