Stewart, James C.
Rochester: Passed away on July 17, 2017 at age 87. Survived by wife Jacqueline; son, Gary and stepdaughter, Kimberly (Glen) M. Hickey of Rochester.
He was a Veteran of Army Air Corp/U.S Air Force, where he served as a radio operator instructor at the Air Force School. He continued his interest in Air Craft and soloed at the Palmyra Air Field in 1964. He owned horses that raced at Batavia Downs and Buffalo Raceway in the 60’s and 70’s. Jim played drums with the Duke Spinner Orchestra at the Edge Water for many years. He held various supervisory positons at Xerox and other retail firms. He was a past custom decorating sales manager for the J.C. Penny Co. in Rochester and Syracuse.
He is predeceased by son, Greg, his faithful canine companion “Lilly” and feline “GG”.
He would like to give a special thanks to Dr. David Stornelli and his staff for their “excellent care given to me for many years”. It is Jim’s request to be cremated and there will be no prior calling.
