Mary attended Nazareth Academy on a full scholarship, graduating with College Academics in 1941. Before and after raising her sons, Mary worked as an executive secretary, first at Kodak for many years, and then for the Rochester Fire Commissioner and Commissioner of Public Safety, before returning to and retiring from Kodak. Mary was active in the Republican party for decades, most notably helping to organize "Housewives for Rockefeller" in the 1960's. An avid baker, Mary won acclaim as the New York State Baking Champion several times for her decorated cakes which lead to her being selected to star in a TV commercial for Domino Sugar's "Festive Frosting Sugar." With the eyes and hands of an artist, Mary mastered and enjoyed ornamental penmanship, calligraphy, acrylic painting, flower arranging and photography. First and foremost, Mary will be remembered as the most proud, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother and aunt.
