Obituary of Patricia LoBene

Lobene, Patricia Rochester/Green Bay, WI: Deceased on September 1st, 2012. Predeceased by her parents, Louis Filippone and Lucia (Cottone) Filippone, her husband Nunzio of 57 years, and daughter Patty Lu. She is survived by her children Mark and his wife Judith Modrak of New York City, Tom of New York City, Barbara Vela of Green Bay; beloved grand-daughter Katie Vela of Green Bay; wonderful cousins, Lucia Talley and Florence Polino; and other loved relatives and friends, including Anthony and Susan LoCurto. She suffered a stroke in 1999. Former long-time resident of East Irondequoit and Pittsford, she spent the last 4 years in Green Bay, WI and, ultimately in the Santa Maria Nursing Home, to be near her daughter and grand-daughter. Over many years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and had a very special relationship with her grand-daughter; was a great cook with numerous creative recipes, and an active member of her high school Sorority group for 50 years. Pat's many acts of kindness endeared her to all who knew her. Calling hours - Saturday, September 8th between 9:00-10:30 AM at the Falvo Funeral Home 1395 N. Goodman Street, Rochester NY 14609. Patricia's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 8th at 11:00 AM at Peace of Christ at St. Ambrose Church, located at the corner of Culver Road and Empire Boulevard in Rochester, NY. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of Santa Maria Nursing Home for their loving care and compassion towards our mother. She stated that she "felt at home there" in her final years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be directed to the Santa Maria Nursing Home to be utilized for the purchase of clothing and bedding for its residents in need.
