Checchi, James M. "Jim" Rochester: March 9, 2017 age 87. Predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Vera; his children, James (Aileen) Checchi Jr., Sandra (August) Gallo, Richard (Lori) Checchi, Karen (Michael) Ogren, Donna (John) Magliocca, Lori A. Checchi (Ken Edell); grandchildren, Marie, Jennifer, Michael, Christopher, Andrea, Nicole, Tracy, Michael S., John and Sarah; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Adeline Talisesky; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean Checchi, Marie Paul and Susan (John) Leach; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Jim was a proud retiree of Brick Layers Union #3 and will be missed by all. Calling hours SUNDAY 3-7PM at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. On MONDAY please meet the family at 10:30AM in St. Ann's Home Chapel (1500 Portland Ave.) for the Celebration of his Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leo Center for Caring in his memory in appreciation for the wonderful and compassionate care he received during his stay there.
