Obituary of Carol Diodato

Carol Diodato, 74, of Brighton, New York, passed peacefully on February 5, after fighting a long brave battle with ALS. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her children and family who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Mildred (Kraus) Christ and her late husband of 44 years, Dr. Michael Diodato, DMD. She is survived by her son Dr. Michael Diodato, Jr. (Keri); daughters Dr. Sherylanne Diodato, Beth-Anne Diodato McPhillips (Chris), and Alissa-Anne Georges (John); grandchildren John Georges, III, Caroline Grace & Christopher Diodato McPhillips; sister-in-law Dolores Guerrieri (Albert); nephews Dr. John Guerrieri (Kim, Sofia, Olivia, Gianna) and Paul Guerrieri; niece Lisa Herrmann (Kevin); “sister” Marilyn Curtis. Carol attended Holy Family School, Saint Agnes High School, and Nazareth College. She earned her Master’s from SUNY Brockport. Carol was a dedicated teacher having taught at Penn Yan HS, Gates Chili HS, Norfolk HS (Virginia), Sacred Heart Academy for Girls (Honolulu, HI), and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School. Carol was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Thomas More Church for over 37 years. She will be remembered for her warm smile, loving presence, generosity, and her amazing parties. She was devoted to her family and brought joy to everyone she met. Calling Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman Street. Please join the family Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 2617 East Avenue, for her mass of Christian burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
