Manuel Gonzalez

Obituary of Manuel Gonzalez

Manuel Gonzalez (Jimenez) was born on May 25, 1935 in Morovis, Puerto Rico to the union of Fulgencio Gonzalez and Rosa Jimenez. He later moved to New York, New York. Manuel was a proud man who loved his family. He was humble yet proud. Asked no one for anything but gave the shirt off his back if need be. Though he did not have many friends, he was loved by all who came in contact with him. Not an affectionate man, but if he loved you his actions would show it. He has left us but his spirit will live in us forever. Manuel worked as a migrant worker when he first came to the United States. He came to rest in Rochester N.Y after living in N.J. a few years. Previous, he lived in the Bronx where he dedicated himself to maintence work. He worked for Jack Segal for many years. He was united with Maria Rolon for 53 years. He leaves to “celebrate his life” 4 daughters, Nilsa (Tom Pedersen) , Damaris (RacheOrtizl), Yvette and Rosa (Henry Prieto); 3 sons, Manny Jr. (Lotteann Gonzalez), Jimmy and Jose (Rita Rivera); 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and distant brothers and sisters; other relatives and friends.
