Obituary of Michael Diodato

Michael D. Diodato, DMD Brighton: June 21, 2012, Michael suddenly passed at 69 years of age. Predeceased by father Dominick, mother Jennie, and brother Michael. Survived by his wife Carol (Christ); son Dr. Michael Diodato, Jr. (Keri); daughters Sherylanne Diodato, Beth-Anne Diodato McPhillips (Christopher), and Alissa-Anne Georges (John); grandchildren John Georges, III and Caroline Grace Diodato McPhillips; sister Dolores Guerrieri (Albert); nephews Dr. John Guerrieri (Kim, Sophia, Olivia, Gianna) and Paul Guerrieri; niece Lisa Herrmann (Kevin); several other relatives, friends and colleagues who loved him dearly. Michael attended 39 Grammar School, Franklin High School, Niagara University, then became a graduate of Seton Hall (New Jersey School of Medicine & Dentistry), after which he joined the United States Public Health Service and served as a Commander, later serving in the inactive reserves. He then founded his own private family dentistry practice in Irondequoit where he worked for thirty-five years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church for over thirty years. He will be remembered as someone who was a gift to everyone he met. For most it was his presence, his smile, and his generosity of his time and himself. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who brought joy to everyone he met. Calling hours Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 2-4 PM and & 7-9 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman Street, Rochester, New York. Please join the family Tuesday, 12 Noon at St. Thomas More Church (2617 East Avenue) for his mass of Christian burial. Internment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, Sisters of Mercy, McQuaid Jesuit High School, Our Lady of Mercy High School or East High School.
