I was saddened to hear of his passing today. Peter was a true physician-the Rochester community was a better place because of him. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by many.

Dr.Stahl was my one and only primary doctor. He was a wonderful man. He and I would talk golf which we both loved. He never rushed me out. I credit him for the good life I have had. I really missed him after he retired.

My family is very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Stahl. Dr. Stahl was a long time doctor for 3 generations of our family ranging from my parents, to my husband and me, my brothers and sister in law, and even my nieces and nephew. We all went to him because he was a great doctor, the best doctor, with a great bed side manner, whose diagnosis was always accurate, who truly took the time to know his patients, and who truly cared about his patients! I became a patient of his at the age of 12 and went to him for 34 years up to the day he retired. There is no doctor that I have ever trusted and respected more. We truly miss our doctor and have since the day he retired in September 2012! RIP Dr. Stahl. You will always be remembered! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Stahl's for about 35 years. He was the most compassionate, considerate, doctor I have ever met. I remember when I first found out that he was retiring, I cried, happy tears for him and sad tears for me. I knew I would never find another doctor with such a great personality and bed side manner. He really got to know his patients and took time to listen to any concerns we had. I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to his family. He will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Jan and I were patients for most of Dr. Stahl's career. We both enjoyed being his patient and respected him so very much. We are sorry for the loss we all have to live with. I know I personally will miss the office door opening and a smiling face say "Hello young man" We offer our condolences to his family. We know he will be sadly missed.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Stahl family. Although none of you know me personally, Dr. Stahl was my doctor in Irondequoit for almost 40 years. He treated several members of my family also. He was such a kind and caring man and a wonderful doctor. We have all missed him since he retired several years ago. I have often thought about him and wondered how he was doing. It was very funny to me to read in his obituary that he loved his manhattans. That is also my father to a T. He will be deeply missed.
