Dr. Bertoni was the embodiment of professionalism and the epitome of the caring and compassionate family physician. His personal commitment to the welfare of his patients and to the health and well being of his community were always the foundation of his perspective on the many issues addressed by organized medicine. As a respected leader within the Academy of Family Physicians he was a consistent voice of reason and principle in establishing Academy priorities. His stature as a physician leader within the Academy is exceeded only by his standing as a wonderful and deeply admired person. We are grateful for his many contributions to the Academy. We will miss him.
