Obituary of Norman Levy

Levy, Norman S. Rochester: The passing of Norm Levy on September 6th feels like the end of an era. A young WWII B-17 navigator, he married his childhood sweetheart Louise, and earned a BA in English from Penn and a BS in Printing Management from Carnegie Tech. He set up government printing plants and served in the Air Force Reserve for 20 years, retiring as Lt. Colonel. Norm knew the printing field inside out, and became the go-to guy in the local Graphic Arts industry. What really mattered to Norm, though, was his family, and organic gardening. Survived by Louise, sons Roger (Janet), and Rob (Patrick), daughter Barbara (Marilyn), grandson Jamari and granddaughter Tess, he also left behind his beloved heirloom tomato plants. Norm and Louise collected works by local artists, and would love to have you go out and buy some local art this weekend. A celebration of Norm's life will be held on Saturday, October 8th, at the Rochester Airport. See www.barblevy.com/norm for details and remembrances
